- I am a second generation home schooler and am thrilled to share my journey with you. I was home schooled from 1st grade through 10th grade and went to public school for Kindergarten, 11th and 12th grade. Going to public school was a choice I made but my best memories were from my home schooling years. I am a mother of two boys and a wife of a fireman. My oldest son "J" is 4 1/2 years old, such a BOY and has an amazing heart. My second son "L" is almost 1 years old, he has such a sweet soul with a bit of feisty in him. I am just starting my first year of schooling with "J" and so far he is loving it. We are starting "kindergarten" this year even though it is a year early. I hope this helps, blesses and encourages you as you read about our journey in home schooling!
